The Sądecka Public Library invites you to an author meeting with Anna Stasiak , author of the book Słowiański przewodnik po gwiazdowaniu (Slavic Guide to Celebrations ), which will take place on October 17 this year (Saturday) at 5:00 p.m. in the main library building (ul. Franciszkańska 11, 1st floor).Anna Stasiak – an ethnographer, sociologist, and popularizer of Slavic knowledge, known to a wide audience from her Instagram profile @slowianski.przewodnik – will discuss the traditions, beliefs, and spirituality of our ancestors. This is an excellent opportunity to take a closer look at Slavic heritage, discover the symbolism of ancient holidays, and learn about customs whose traces can also be found in contemporary culture.

During the meeting, the author will discuss the topics she describes in the promoted publication: how our ancestors celebrated the most important moments in the cycle of nature, what rituals accompanied them every day, and how ancient traditions can inspire us today. This is a proposal for anyone interested in history, folk culture, and Slavic mythology, and seeking answers to questions about the roots of contemporary customs.
