Opis
This fall, the TEATR POLSKA 2026 program will also be at the SOKÓŁ MCK, this time with Soul Sound Foundation's THE CHAIRS, scheduled for October 13th. This intimate story about modern relationships and loneliness is based on true stories, creating a moving portrait of interpersonal closeness.
The play is a conversation about closeness, inspired by the creators' descriptions of real-life stories and experiences of many anonymous people, of various ages and backgrounds. The authors of the play question the state of contemporary methods of establishing relationships. They also touch on an issue that a large portion of society struggles with – loneliness. The duo of Adam Kuza and Sara Kozłowska, who become conveyors of stories about other people's relationships, connections, encounters, and breakups, simultaneously discovering themselves in them and weaving their own experiences and sensitivities into them. In this process, they seek a delicate balance between what is casual, light, and funny, and what is difficult, painful, and moving. "Closeness is when your hands are cold, and it warms a pebble and places it in yours." "Closeness is when you can not only be yourself, but when you are happy for who you are in someone else's life." "Closeness is when you stand with eyes glassy with emotion and open hands in which you can place the greatest secret, a tired face and a promise of lasting." "Closeness is an unspoken word - love." A performance for viewers over 18 years of age. Directed by: Jolanta Wolańska Starring: Sara Kozłowska, Adam Kuza Lyrics: Joanna Wolańska Music: Maciej Maciaszek Lighting Direction: Tomasz Krukowski Sound Production: Marcin Dobijański TICKETS » After the performance, we invite you to a meeting with the creators.
FundingCo-financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
