Opis
We invite you to the ceremonial opening of the exhibition of paintings "Painting Dialogues" by three artists: Wanda Zaremba-Miejska, Małgorzata Piątkowska and Bogusław Juszkiewicz.
The opening will take place on October 13, 2026 (Tuesday) at 5:00 p.m. in the historic exhibition spaces of the main library (level -1) at 11 Franciszkańska Street. The evening will be complemented with a musical performance by the Poetic Song Ensemble "Dookoła", composed of Joanna Babiarz-Szot and Janusz Szot.
What happens when three different sensibilities meet in one space? Can paintings speak to each other? The "Painting Dialogues" exhibition is a meeting of three artists united by their medium—painting—but divided by everything else: temperament, craft, and way of looking at the world.
This isn't the sum of three individual presentations. It's an experiment. The works have been arranged to interact with each other—sometimes harmonious, sometimes tense and contradictory. Color responds to line, gesture responds to silence, abstraction questions figure for meaning.
We invite the viewer to become the fourth participant in the dialogue – the one who listens, interprets and adds to their own story.
Although Wanda Zaremba-Miejska, Małgorzata Piątkowska, and Bogusław Juszkiewicz share a common artistic affinity, each employing a distinct creative language. Their temperaments, inspirations, techniques, and methods of observing and interpreting reality differ. This allows the works presented together to enter into unexpected relationships—sometimes harmonious, other times based on contrast and tension. Here, color meets line, expressive gesture meets tranquility, abstraction meets figuration, and nature meets the world of man-made forms.
The "Painting Dialogues" exhibition can be viewed from October 13 to 31, 2026, in the historic basement of the main library (level -1) at 11 Franciszkańska Street during opening hours.
