Trzy byty: wizja, emocja i wykonawcza materia. Duch kina Andrzej Wajda, serce muzyki Wojciech Kilar i ciało wykonawcze Zespół Pieśni i Tańca Śląsk stapiają się w jedno sceniczne doświadczenie. Nie jest to spektakl biograficzny. To opowieść o ludzkiej drodze prowadzonej etapami: od narodzin, przez czas i wybór, ku doświadczeniu wspólnoty i ciszy. O człowieku zanurzonym w historii i w sobie samym.

Forma spektaklu wyrasta z połączenia tańca ludowego i współczesnego, dramaturgii teatralnej oraz śpiewu chóru. Wszystkie te elementy tworzą jedną sceniczną materię, w której obraz, dźwięk i ciało pracują równolegle, budując wspólną narrację.

„Wajda Kilar Śląsk” nie składa się z cytatów. Przekłada sensy kina na język sceny: obraz uruchamia pamięć, muzyka unosi, ciało ucieleśnia. To koncert-spektakl o człowieku zanurzonym w historii, szukającym sensu między pierwszym oddechem a ostatnią ciszą.

Spektakl ma formę widowiska multimedialnego, realizowanego przez artystów baletu, chóru i orkiestry Zespołu Pieśni i Tańca „Śląsk” im. Stanisława Hadyny, w pełnym składzie artystycznym.

Spektakl „Wajda Kilar Śląsk” realizowany jest w ramach obchodów Roku Andrzeja Wajdy ustanowionego uchwałą Senatu RP.

Three elements: vision, emotion and the material of execution. The spirit of cinema embodied by Andrzej Wajda, the heart of music embodied by Wojciech Kilar, and the performing body of the Śląsk Song and Dance Ensemble merge into a single theatrical experience. This is not a biographical play. This is a story of the human journey, unfolding in stages: from birth, through time and choice, towards the experience of community and silence. About a man immersed in history and in himself.

The form of the performance stems from a fusion of folk and contemporary dance, theatrical drama and choral singing. All these elements form a single theatrical whole, in which image, sound and the body operate in parallel, building a shared narrative.

‘Wajda Kilar Śląsk’ is not a collection of quotations. It translates the essence of cinema into the language of the stage: the image triggers memories, the music lifts the spirit, and the body embodies it. This is a concert-performance about a man immersed in history, searching for meaning between his first breath and his final silence.

The performance takes the form of a multimedia show, staged by ballet dancers, the choir and the orchestra of the Stanisław Hadyna ‘Śląsk’ Song and Dance Ensemble, with the full cast.

The production ‘Wajda Kilar Śląsk’ is being staged as part of the celebrations marking the Year of Andrzej Wajda, established by a resolution of the Senate of the Republic of Poland.
